Truth is, you might not always have internet when you need to make a sale. Hubtel POS allows you to receive payments from any mobile money wallet via your unique payment code. You can receive money in two ways;
- Your sales employee can dial to request payment from a customer.
- A customer can also initiate payment by dialing your payment code.
1. How to request payment from a customer
To receive payments as a sales employee (from MTN, Airtel and Tigo Customers):
a. Dial *713*BranchCode*CustomerNumber*Amount#
Example 1: *713*8658*0543263726*45# This means you’re requesting 0543263726 to pay you an amount of GHS45.
Example 2: *713*8658*0543263726*45*3# This means you’re requesting 0543263726 to pay you GHS 45 and 3 pesewas.
b. Enter 1 to confirm payment request.
c. Ask the customer to approve the payment prompt they receive from their mobile network to complete the sale.
For all successful transactions, you will receive an SMS as proof of payment.
To receive payments as a sales employee (from Vodafone Customers)
Vodafone requires that customers provide a voucher as a way of approving payment.
a. Ask your customer to dial *110# and select option 6 to generate the voucher before you dial the code.
b. Dial *713*BranchCode*CustomerNumber*Amount#
c. Enter the customer's voucher number.
d. Enter 1 to confirm payment.
The examples provided above applies to Vodafone payments as well.
